Title: R&D Senior Product Development Manager/Director

Salary range :120K-180K/year

Location: Detroit

Key Responsibilities:

Lead demand analysis, requirement decomposition, and formulation of comprehensive technical solutions based on product requirements. Oversee interface design, system integration, and key technology reviews at various stages to ensure product development aligns with specified requirements.

Develop and implement strategic product planning and work goals in alignment with the company’s development strategy.

Oversee daily management activities within the department to ensure smooth operations.

Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the leadership team.

Proficiency in AiBMS design, development software, and data analysis tools is preferred.

Ability to translate customer requirements into research and development (R&D) specifications reflected in product design.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher, with proficiency in English as a working language.

Strong familiarity with battery system development and related technologies.

In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and structural design software.

A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in mass production of at least one power product.

Prior experience in the automotive industry, particularly in PACK design, structural design, and BMS-related electrical knowledge.

Proven capability in developing and producing batteries, independently resolving technical challenges, and leading projects effectively.

Fluency in Mandarin is required.
