Laser Eye Institute is seeking an Ophthalmic technician to join our team of dedicated professionals. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care by performing various diagnostic tests and assisting the physicians during eye exams and surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and thorough diagnostic tests
- Take patient histories and document all findings accurately in electronic medical records system
- Provide patient education on preoperative and postoperative instructions, including medication use and restrictions
- Maintain and clean ophthalmic equipment and instruments
Requirements
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Ophthalmology
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, procedures, and medications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with physicians and clinical staff
