North Kent Connect (NKC) is a Christian organization committed to improving the lives of all people in northern Kent County by providing access to basic needs and promoting economic independence.

The Office Administrator will provide support for all departments with a focus on client services, ensuring consistent and efficient operations throughout North Kent Connect.

General

·         Serve as office receptionist, greeting clients and visitors and notifying appropriate staff members.

·         Prepare and modify documents for client programs, correspondences, reports, drafts, memos, etc.

·         Oversee supply inventory for all departments.

·         Maintain phone system including maintenance and update as needed.

·         Manage meeting room calendars and website calendar.

·         Maintain up-to-date contact lists for community partners to communicate essential information.

·         Coordinate meetings of various NKC and community groups as needed. 

·         Provide proofreading for NKC materials and publications.  

·         Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance & Operations

 

Client Services Support

·         Assist clients in navigating all North Kent Connect services.

·         Support Client Services by scheduling new client appointments, completing pantry check-ins, and food referrals.

·         Maintain a calendar of Client Services appointments, programs, and food distributions.

·         Compile a monthly resource flyer of all NKC activities, and local food programs for distribution to our community partners.

·         Facilitate seasonal client programming activities with the Client Services department.

·         Assist with opening and closing of the building.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 1-3 years of Administrative or related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred.
  • Strong competency with computer programs, such as Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and Adobe.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
