Maintenance Technician

Summary

Will perform machine and facility maintenance duties as assigned

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Perform facility maintenance duties. (i.e. change lighting fixtures, install light switches, painting, installing network cable runs, occasional welding, drywall repair, furniture moves, etc)

·         Perform preventative maintenance and execute diagnostics for all repairs with a high level of competence utilizing engineering, owner manuals, vendors, and operator input

·         Troubleshoot mechanical & electric issues with manufacturing equipment and the facility

·         Maintain necessary preventative maintenance cycles to ensure production machines are at peak performance

·         Reports any irregularities to immediate supervisor to determine if higher tier maintenance is required

·         Assemble/Install various manufacturing support equipment (ladders, carts, racking, conduit, etc).

·         Participate on safety and continuous improvements teams

·         Install or relocate equipment as needed

·         Conduct operator level maintenance tasks.

·         Records labor and other production information on time sheets, KPI boards or other places as assigned.

Critical Competencies

·         Must be knowledgeable and remain current with shop machine manuals and processes, regulations and guidelines

·         Must be able to multi-task and work independently

·         Must be able to communicate with individuals in all levels of the company

·         Must have a thorough understanding of general and maintenance safe work practices such as LOTO, Hot Work, Electrical Safety, PPE etc

·         Must be able to read and interpret drawings, schematics, manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

·         Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent

·         Must be highly proficient with machine tools, both CNC and manual.

·         Must have at least 2 years of Maintenance experience and work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Physical Demand and Work Environment:          

The position requires standing, lifting of up to 50 pounds frequently, climbing steps and ladders, working at heights in a scissor lift and working in a production environment. Conditions include high noise levels in some areas, temperature variations and some odor.
