Full Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or an Associate’s Degree with a strong technical foundation in mechanical design, electrical systems, and multi-skilled facility maintenance. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining various machinery and equipment in our facility. This role involves troubleshooting production problems, performing predictive and preventive maintenance, and optimizing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machinery Installation and Maintenance: Install and service machinery and equipment support systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot production problems to minimize downtime. This includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance checks on production lines, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and meets safety standards.
- Documentation and Communication: Accurately record and communicate system problems and solutions, maintaining detailed maintenance logs and reports.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Perform industrial equipment electrical troubleshooting and installation, interpreting and implementing electrical schematics and drawings.
- PLC Programming: Program and troubleshoot PLCs as necessary, ensuring smooth operation and integration into existing systems.
- Robotics Maintenance: Troubleshoot and maintain robotic systems (Fanuc, Kuka, ABB), performing mechanical repairs and ensuring robotic programming is accurate.
- Welding Equipment Support: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair resistance and MIG welding equipment; optimize welding consumables for peak performance.
- Quality Assurance: Support the production quality system by troubleshooting and addressing equipment-related quality issues.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively across departments to maintain a safe and efficient working environment while adhering to Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) practices.
Requirements
- Qualifications:
- - Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology (in progress) or Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
- - Experience: Proven experience as a maintenance technician, especially in an industrial or manufacturing setting, with a robust understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- - Technical Skills:
- - Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs.
- - Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings.
- - Knowledge of robotics troubleshooting (Fanuc, Kuka, ABB).
- - Familiarity with welding processes and equipment (MIG and resistance welding).
- - Certifications: Multi-Skilled Facility Maintenance.
