Pulmonary and Medicine Associates is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Lead Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to the medical assistant team
- Assist clinicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed
- Conduct patient assessments, take vitals, and update medical records
- Perform routine laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment
- Coordinate patient referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments
- Assist with front office duties, including scheduling and verifying insurance information
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Minimum of [2 years] experience in a medical office setting
- Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
