Full Job Description
New Oakland Family Centers provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services for consumers across Michigan, in both outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.
Location: Southfield
Schedule: Full time;Five, 8.5-hours shifts each week, as determined by Crisis Services Director; shifts include morning, swing, and midnight, working in a 24/7 program. Available shifts include: 2:30pm-11pm *Please note that initial new hire training will be conducted during daytime hours at the assigned training location, consisting of five 8.5-hour shifts from Monday to Friday. Completion of this training is required before beginning non-traditional shifts.
Reports To: Crisis Services Director / Crisis Services Supervisor
Compensation: Hourly Employee, $19-$23/hour. Commensurate with experience.
Position Summary: The ICS Coordinator position is a full-time position that provides coordinating support to all ICS Services. In addition, this position may support clerical, record keeping, dispatch, and/or other miscellaneous duties in support of consumer care. The position will require working closely with clinical and administrative staff and consumers to ensure efficient service delivery.

Essential Duties / Functions:
- Facilitation of beds for inpatient admissions.
- Managing admissions packets through E-Fax system.
- Provide coordination between emergency departments, inpatient hospitals, schools, families, therapists, and NOFC ICS services.
- Possess a customer-service forward attitude and perform duties in a polite and professional manner.
- Coordinate with outpatient providers to schedule OP services and provide resources.
- Complete and oversee data entry into tri-county dispatch system.
- Coordination of tri-county community dispatch screenings.
- Contact county ACCESS departments to assist families in coordinating CMH outpatient services
- Complete NOMS intake and discharges for YFCC.
- Follow up with ICS PHP referrals with sites and families on approvals or denials.
- Document EMR system/calendar as required.
- Attend trainings and meetings as needed.
- Assist with other clerical tasks as needed.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor/site director.
Working Conditions: Staff are to dress professionally at all times per the Employee Handbook. Staff will need to be prepared to be actively involved with consumers.
Requirements
Bachelor/ Pre-bachelor’s degree in social work, professional counseling, psychology, or a related field is preferred. High School diploma with at least 1-2 years of mental health experience with 1-2 years of clerical or scheduling experience may be considered. Must be able to work well with all populations including children, adolescents, and adults.
