Job Summary:
Performs laboratory tests to determine chemical characteristics for the plating line quality control, process control, or product development by performing the duties to ensure optimum chemical and parameter levels are maintained. Monitor daily and weekly trends to proactively make necessary corrections to chemistry or process parameters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Analyzes plating solution and environmental solutions.
· Coordinates lab equipment Calibrations /Verification
· Maintains data in Excel, Word and LabWorks
· Responsible for communicating chemical addition.
· Work with outside chemical & equipment suppliers
· Maintains chemical inventory.
· Additional duties with similar responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Requirements
employment requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Science, or Engineering
- 1-3 years of work experience
- Basic chemistry knowledge
- Plating experience (preferred)
- Laboratory management experience
- Attention to detail and data.
- Self-management
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Driver’s License and Reliable transportation
- Able to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to learn, navigate, and use customer specific software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
