Evening Prep Cooks

The Opportunity

Slows Bar BQ and Slows To Go are seeking Evening Prep Cooks to join our culinary teams. As an Evening Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing ingredients and contributing to the overall success of our restaurants. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about food and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing a variety of food items according to set recipes and standards.
• Clean, peel, slice, and dice vegetables and fruits.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Assist in cooking and plating food.
• Ensure all food items are stored properly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries.
• Assist in inventory management and rotation of stock.
• Follow instructions provided by the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Team-player attitude and strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and stand for long periods of time.
