Cold Heading Set Up Operator

We are expanding and looking to add a Cold Header Set Up Operator to our team! The successful candidate will have previous experience operating or setting up experience on any of these styles of headers: Sacma, Formax, Nedschroef, or Nationals.

This is a direct hire position. Salary is negotiable based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Apply all essential functions of a Cold Heading Operator
• Perform setups, tear down, and clean up a variety of cold heading machines
• Troubleshoot quality issues during production
• Ability to assist other operators with setup, troubleshooting, and filling in as required
• Ability to assist with training as needed
• Document and follow up on all changes made to Header Cards
• Check to ensure that all setup procedures are being followed
• Communicate information to other shifts regarding problems with jobs
• Make regular suggestions on changes to increase machine production
• Follow 6-S principles

Requirements

• Physically able to lift, bend,
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic mathematic skills, including decimals and fractions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
• Completion of Cold Heading Operator testing and mastering the essential functions of that role
• Proficiency in Machine Setups for Production Runs, reading blueprints, machine troubleshooting skills, computers
• Experience using Cold Heading Machine
