CNC Machine Setup and Production Operator

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machine Operator and Setup Person with expertise in turning, milling, and saw cutting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications, as well as setting up machines for production runs. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Depending on performance, this person will lead the CNC department.

Responsibilities:

1. Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes, mills, and production saws.

2. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accurate production.

3. Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.

4. Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or deviations from specifications.

5. Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain quality and meet production targets.

6. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

7. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production.

8. Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes and workflow.

9. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

10. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and hazards.

Requirements

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Proven experience as a CNC machine operator and setup person.

3. Proficiency in operating CNC turning, milling, and saw cutting machines.

4. Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques.

5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

8. Basic math skills and understanding of measurements.

9. Experience with CNC programming is a plus.

10. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.

11. Strong work ethic and reliability.

12. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.
