Full Job Description
New Oakland Family Centers provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services for consumers across Michigan, in both outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.
Location: Flint
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or other full-time equivalent to support business needs.
Reports To: Clinical Director / Clinical Supervisor
Compensation: Salaried employee; Starting at $60,000.00/year. Commensurate with experience.
Position Summary: The Clinical Therapist is a full-time position comprised of multiple clinical and administrative responsibilities supporting both the FACE to FACE Partial Hospitalization and Outpatient programs as needed/required.

Essential Duties / Functions:
- Provides high quality, compassionate and ethical services to children, adolescents, adults and families following a person-centered approach and in accordance to the Agency’s policies and procedures.
- Provides assessments, intakes, individual, family and/or group therapy as needed in accordance with professional standards and policies/procedures of the facility.
- Maintains full-time billing requirements (32+ billed SALs per week).
- Develops and/or follows treatment plans using a person-centered process.
- Complete discharge planning and coordination of care as required.
- Completes documentation as required by the clinic’s policies/procedures.
- Completes Utilization Review assignments including but not limited to obtaining authorizations for services provided.
- Maintains case files within electronic medical record (EMR) that are up to date and in compliance with clinic’s policies and procedures.
- Actively participates as a positive member of the clinic environment.
- Maintains good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
- Completes all recommended continuing education requirements to keep licensure current.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Fulfills all initial and ongoing training requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions: Staff is to dress professionally at all times and will need to be prepared to be actively involved with consumers.
Requirements
A Master’s degree and appropriate licensure in social work, counseling, or psychology is mandatory; however, limited licensure (LLC, LLMSW, or LLP) may be acceptable. Full licensure is strongly preferred, and temporary licensure (TLLP) is not eligible for consideration. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively engage with diverse individuals across all demographics, including children, adolescents, and adults
