Full Job Description
The Breakie Bunch is growing and we are looking for an awesome person, who wants the opportunity to grow with us. We are looking for an experienced lead teacher who is ready to take the next step into a dual role position. This person would lead the classroom and take on administrative responsibilities. Time management skills are a must and the ability to take initiative will be crucial as we do not believe in micromanaging. The assistant directors’ responsibility is to assist the director in any job-related task assigned to them. Having an overall understanding of the expectations of the teachers and overseeing that they are being met. Knowing all families at the center and building relationships with them is a must. A lead teacher's responsibilities would include lesson planning, leading the class and team, building relationships with parents and overall just being a rock star!
Some of the administrative responsibilities include:
- Being a support to the teachers with a positive attitude
- Create a monthly newsletter to be put out the last week of the month
- Create a monthly calendar with activities to be put out the last week of the month
- Make sure cleaning lists are being initialed and address it if not
- Pass out Scholastic flyers each month, place the order and disperse books when they arrive
- Enjoy and complete ongoing training for self growth
- Enter new family information in all systems
- Oversee all schedule changes made after the schedule has gone out
- Keep welcome packets stocked
- Keep track of all physical and immunization upkeep
- Keep record of child schedule changes
- File all paperwork
- Update staff and family contact information as needed
- Lobby décor
Requirements
- MUST have a positive attitude
- Meet State licensing requirements for a director
- CPR and First aid certified
- Desire to grow with The Breakie Bunch
- Bloodborne Pathogen training before starting
- Love for teaching and commitment
- Show initiative and offer ideas and suggestions
- Ability to follow directions and implement program activities
