Job Title: Arabic/Chaldean Translator

Location: Remote (Sterling Heights, MI)

Job Type: Part-time

Hours: Approximately 1-5 hours per week

Pay: $17 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Arabic/Chaldean Translator to assist in communicating with candidates referred by family or friends for a position in Sterling Heights, MI. As a translator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between the hiring team and potential candidates whose primary language is Arabic or Chaldean.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct phone calls with candidates referred for the position.
• Translate conversations accurately and effectively between Arabic/Chaldean and English.
• Ensure clear communication of job details, requirements, and expectations.
• Assist candidates in understanding the hiring process and answering any questions they may have.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality throughout all interactions.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in both Arabic/Chaldean and English languages.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to convey information accurately and clearly.
• Reliable access to phone and internet for remote communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in translation or interpretation roles.
• Familiarity with the Sterling Heights, MI area and its demographics.
• Understanding of cultural nuances and differences in communication styles.
