The groundbreaking science behind our therapies continues to yield vital insights into diseases that have confounded physicians and researchers. Our core scientific approach is centered on the chromatin regulatory system, which opens and closes the right sections of DNA at the right time. Breakdowns in the chromatin regulatory system lead to a wide range of diseases, including cancer, impacting millions of people.

Our proprietary Gene Traffic Control® platform is a powerful tool for understanding and modulating the chromatin regulatory system. We are pursuing multiple treatments for breakdowns in this system. We are the only company with the ability to study and target the chromatin regulatory system at scale, in context, and in an integrated way.

The Role:

We are seeking a self-motivated and creative Research Associate to join our Drug Discovery team in a lab-based role focused on biochemical and biophysical assay development to identify and characterize novel small molecule drug candidates.

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative researcher with a demonstrated ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and learn new skills quickly. As a member of our team, the candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a fun, fast-paced, and data-driven environment.

In This Role, You’ll Get To:

  • Develop, optimize, and perform variety of biochemical and biophysical assays to support screening, hit triage, and Hit-to-lead efforts.
  • Coordinate assay transfer and weekly activities with CROs
  • Analyze, interpret, and document data using an Electronic Laboratory Notebook and data analysis software tools.
  • Communicate and present scientific data to project teams.
  • Work collaboratively on a multi-disciplinary team and across functions

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant lab-based experience, including at least 2 years of industry experience
  • Hands-on experience with biophysical assay techniques (e.g. DSF, SPR, ITC, MST) and fluorescence-based assay techniques (e.g. FP, TR-FRET, AlphaLISA).
  • Familiarity with automated liquid handling instrumentation preferred.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision to assess assay performance and optimize protocols.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to work effectively on teams.
  • Excellent skills in problem solving, organization, and attention to detail.
