Full Job Description
MHA is hiring immediately for a Human Resource Recruiter. The HR Recruiter is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, hiring and maintaining job transfers for all MHA and APG employees. The HR Recruiter assesses and anticipates staffing needs in partnership with management. This person will be responsible for Achieving staffing objectives by recruiting, evaluating job candidates, advising managers, managing relocations and processing of potential candidates. They will work with new hires in obtaining completion of all paperwork during the orientation process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Full Cycle Recruiting and Employee Life Cycle
- Sourcing candidates and maintaining applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Creates and maintains personnel files.
- Coordinates onboarding
- Process employee position changes and terminations.
- Remains current on local and state requirements related to employment regulations and law.
- Works with management and employees to improve work relationships, builds morale and increases productivity and retention.
- Attends staff meetings to communicate HR initiatives and addresses workforce issue.
Staff Recruitment
- Responsible for accuracy and maintenance of Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Ensures timely turn around on all applications.
- Prepares offers letters and job descriptions; coordinates acceptances.
- Registers staff for new hire orientation; contacts all registered staff in the event of a changes in the orientation schedule.
- Maintains a sufficient supply of orientation packets and updates forms as necessary.
- Ensures completion of all new hire paperwork and tracks their orientation training.
- Organizes recruitment events and utilizes social media networking strategies.
- Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
- Would sporadically require working evenings and weekends to attend job fair events.
- Maintains a current vacancy report. Posts internal positions and processes internal staffing changes.
This is an in-person position.
Other Responsibilities
- Carries out special assignments as requested by HR Director or other senior managers.
- Participates in strategic department and agency planning.
- Participates in HR team meetings.
Requirements
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree Preferred.
- Experience with recruiting Preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Digital literacy: Outlook, Applicant Tracking System, HRIS system, MS Word & Excel, online recruiting.
