About the role
We are looking for a Director of Business Development to lead, develop, coach and motivate our fast growing BDR program. The ideal candidate will partner with sales and marketing teams to head up prospecting and lead generation efforts within the private capital market community to ultimately take our Business Development organization to the next level.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the business development organization
- Hire, train, develop, coach, motivate and lead Business Development Representatives (18+), and Managers of Business Development (2) to achieve and exceed sales goals
- Develop and improve sales enablement tools including drafting scripts, testing, messaging and documenting templates and processes to drive outbound prospecting and lead generation from cold sources.
- Measure, forecast and deliver on KPIs
- Provide an accurate assessment of pipeline and opportunity management to senior management and account executive team
- Develop and maintain monthly team forecasts
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing and other internal teams to generate pipeline
- Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity
- Support long term development of BDRs and BDR managers in their careers at FINTRX
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of experience in tech sales
- Experience managing BDRs is required
- Interest or experience in the financial markets or services, particularly the alternative and private capital markets
- Consistent track record of exceeding targets as an individual contributor and leader
- Strong work ethic, motivation, and desire to continually learn and grow
- Willingness to jump into a rapidly scaling startup environment and build new teams, process and functions within the org
- Experience building and driving effective pipeline generation strategies
- Thrives in a competitive team environment and capable of leading & motivating the team
- Intuition and capacity to learn quickly and hit the ground running
- Outstanding communication, organizational and time management skills
- Able to assess performance both qualitatively and analytically
- Proven ability to work cross functionally across all pipeline stakeholders
- Proficiency in excel, GSuite, HubSpot and other related software
- Very high attention to detail
