Transportation, Storage, and Distribution Manager

Spectrum is seeking a Transportation, Storage, and Distribution Manager to provide support for our customer located in St. Inigoes, MD. In this role you will work with a diverse, high performing team of professionals leveraging a proactive program management methodology to ensure all tasks are executed and delivered on time and of the highest quality.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Performs tasks independently. Plans, directs, and organizes transportation, shipping expenses, storage, and distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and relevant Government laws or regulations. Coordinates and expedites the flow of materials and equipment for both shipping and receiving. Oversees the work of employees involved in receiving, storing, inventorying, packaging, and shipping products and materials. Responsible for implementing warehouse safety and security programs and activities. Inspects the physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleet, or equipment and takes appropriate action for maintenance, repairs, or replacements. Provides guidance in handling unusual and non-routine issues.

Requirements

Education

Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline.

Required Experience:

Of the minimum 10 years of experience required, 5 of those years must be in Logistics or Supply Chain Management with the DON or other DoD programs.  A certificate of completion for the DPAS Warehouse Management training module (https://dpassupport.golearnportal.org) is required no later than 21 calendar days after contract award, or date of hire, whichever date is later.
