We are looking for part time Pastoral Counselors to provide compassionate, pastoral care to individuals, couples, and families, applying general counseling skills (listening, empathy, positive regard, humility, confidentiality) and Biblical knowledge and wisdom to the counseling relationship.
You will work under the direction of the licensed mental health Director/Co-Owner in the provision of services to clients, however, your role does not render a psychological evaluation or diagnosis.

Position Responsibilities
· Provide pastoral counseling to individuals, families, and couples who request and consent to pastoral care for a minimum of 10 sessions per week.
· Complete all documentation in real time or within 24 hours of the session.
· Engage and interact with others in a way that creates a warm, calming, and safe environment.
· Is sensitive and understanding of similarities and differences in belief systems.
· Does not impose personal expressions and practices of their faith on to others, rather, relies on the indwelling ministry of the Holy Spirit to guide and direct self and clients, submitting to the authority of the Bible for faith, conduct, and all facets of life.
· Provides care using guided questioning, empathic support, clarifying problems and needs, utilizing reflections and reading, prayer, and scripture to encourage wholeness and healing.
· Ensure all privacy and confidentiality is upheld.
· Actively participate and interact in staff meetings and events.
· Demonstrates eagerness to learn and engage in performance improvement initiatives.
· Comply with all agency policies and procedures and federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Abilities
· Demonstrates compassion and humility in all interactions with clients, staff, and visitors. This includes using effective, efficient, and gracious written and verbal communication.
· Remains teachable and eager to learn and implement new processes and procedures.
· Upholds a high level of personal integrity and honesty.
· Flexible working style and able to tolerate ambiguity and adjust to changes, as is common in startups.
· Managing mental health crisis in calm and safe manner.
· Awareness of counseling limitations and demonstrate ability to refer clients to clinical care as needed.
· Develop and maintain a positive working environment with a multidisciplinary team of providers and staff.
Requirements
· Minimum master’s degree in divinity, pastoral care, or related degree.
· 1-2 years’ experience providing pastoral counsel to children, adolescents, adults, couples, families.
· Must be able to provide Christian pastoral counseling services.
· Must successfully complete background screen and references.
