Full Job Description
We are currently seeking Two Licensed Adult Occupational Therapist to join an expanding team of Home Healthcare team. The main office is in Laurel, and the two territories are below
Montgomery and Howard County.
Prince Georges and some Ann Arundel County.
You will work with clients who have recently returned home from the hospital, aiding in their recovery from surgery and other medical conditions. Responsibilities include conducting physical evaluations, formulating treatment plans, assessing clients' work and home environments, and creating physical rehabilitation programs.
The position entails a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no nights or weekends required. The workload consists of 25-30 visits per week, with most Occupational Therapists completing their appointments by 3:00 PM, allowing for great work-life balance. We are seeking a dedicated professional committed to serving as a partner in the patient's journey to restore motion and achieve optimal functioning.

Requirements
Requirements
· Bachelors’ degree in occupational therapy from a university certified by the ACOTE (Accreditation council for Occupational Therapy) or AOTA (American Occupational Therapy Association)
· Certified by National Board of Certification
· Licensed for the state of Maryland, Compliant with state healthcare regulatory requirements
· Comfortable with technology and use of iPad for various tasks
· CPR certification
· Driver’s license, and reliable transportation
· Must have own equipment (Client can help, depending on any special patient needs)
· Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
· Drive to continually learn and grow
· Professional behavior
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Responsibilities:
· Conduct physical and psychological evaluations of clients and developing or following treatment plans
· Asses home and work environment of client and decide what adjustments are needed
· Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities
· Develop physical rehabilitation programs to help clients with daily activities.
· Educating caregivers and family of clients on patient care
· Professional knowledge and technical progress to provide clients with the best treatment program available
· Comply with federal and state requirements
· Evaluate patients’ condition regarding physical and basic mental health
· Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs
· Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally
· Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
· Consult and practice with other health professionals
