RMC is hiring an Executive Administrative Assistant in Indian Head, MD. The selected applicant will be responsible for providing clerical/administrative support and will be working with and providing technical guidance to personnel throughout the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD). This position will require the candidate to perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties, which are auxiliary to the work of the organization.
Duties may include:
- Supporting, tracking and reporting on technical evaluation board activities
- Working with Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs) and/or Worked with Private Party Agreements (WWPP)
- Supporting, tracking and reporting on invention documentation and patent applications
- Supporting, tracking and reporting on various customer surveys
- Responding to requested information concerning policies and procedures
- Performing records management functions
- Making arrangements for conferences and meetings, and assembling required materials
- Reviewing outgoing correspondence and materials for consistency and conformance
- Coordinating personnel and administrative forms and forwarding for processing
- Scheduling appointments, conferences and other related events
- Preparing and tracking travel requests
Requirements
- Candidate must possess an associate degree, plus five (5) years of relevant experience performing administrative duties, or a High School diploma or GED equivalent with seven (7) years of relevant experience.
- Candidate must be a qualified typist and have knowledge of principles and practices of office management.
- Must have excellent proficiency on computer workstations to specifically include working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills and must provide customer service both internally and externally.
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Applicants selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
