Full Job Description
The Local 26 IBEW-NECA Joint Trust Funds ("Fund Office"), located in Lanham, MD, is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant A to support the administration of four multi-employer benefit funds. Covering over 11,000 members of Local 26 IBEW and their dependents, these Taft-Hartley funds consist of a private health and welfare fund, defined benefit pension fund, defined contributions pension fund, and industry promotion fund. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, forward-thinking professional who works well in a dynamic environment; an efficient and effective communicator of benefit plan provisions to members and employers; and proactive team member who supports the Fund Office's efforts to provide excellent service.
Duties:
Duties include, but may not be limited to:
Perform member and dependent enrollment/disenrollment; Liaise with facility management; Perform administrative tasks to support other Fund Office departments; Maintain supplies throughout Fund Office; Prepare for and coordinate hosted meetings; Welcome visitors at the front desk in person or via telephone; Direct/escort visitors to appropriate area.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Monday - Friday
Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Work Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant office experience preferred
- Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Special Skills or Credentials:
- Professional phone skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, including the ability to interact with Trustees, union, employers, outside professionals, as well as service providers.
- Supportive team member.
- Experience: Office: 1 year (preferred)
- Ability to Commute: Lanham, MD 20706 (Required)
