AMERICAN METAL WORKS is a leading provider of metal fabrication solutions. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Help Desk Technician to join our growing team. As an IT Help Desk Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our employees and maintaining the functionality of our computer systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing technical support to end users, and resolving network connectivity problems. You will also assist in the installation and configuration of computer systems and peripherals, as well as provide training and guidance to users on the correct use of software and hardware.

As an IT Help Desk Technician, you must have a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills. You should be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and have a customer-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals
  • Diagnose hardware and software issues and perform repairs or replacements as needed
  • Manage and maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies
  • Set up and troubleshoot network connections, both wired and wireless
  • Train and guide users on the proper use of software and hardware
  • Ensure the security and privacy of company data and information

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in an IT help desk or technical support role
  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred, but not required.
