Human Resources Assistant
Reports To: Human Resources Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly
Hours: M - F, 8am - 5pm, 1 Hour lunch
Pay is commensurate with experience
Summary
The Human Resources Assistant plays a key role in supporting the HR department in various aspects of human resources management. This position will assist with maintaining employee records, handling administrative tasks, and providing support in recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and other HR functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with recruitment efforts including job postings, reviewing applications, conducting initial screenings, and scheduling interviews
- Coordinate new hire onboarding process including conducting orientations, completing paperwork, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files
- Assist with benefits administration tasks including enrollment, changes, and terminations
- Process payroll changes and updates as needed
- Assist with employee relations matters and respond to employee inquiries
- Coordinate employee recognition programs and events
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as assigned
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department

- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in HR or related field required
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
