Mize CPAs Inc. was recently named a Top 200 Workplace for 2024 by USA Today! We are a leading regional accounting and IT firm with offices in Topeka and Overland Park, Kansas. Our firm works with clients in a number of industries and has a rapidly growing restaurant and hospitality division that serves clients nationwide.
We are looking for an in-person only Receptionist in the Topeka office. Full-time availability is needed, 40 hours per week.
If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have experience welcoming visitors to an organization and assisting with other administrative tasks as assigned.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Receive and greet visitors and screen sales representatives
- Schedule appointments
- Answer and route incoming calls and relay messages
- Monitor the firm’s fax and email box and deliver messages to appropriate staff
- Sort and distribute general incoming mail
- Assist with the Firm's various data entry projects as assigned
- Scan and upload documents correctly and efficiently
- Must be available to work while the office is open to the public, as this position is responsible for opening and securing the office; standard schedule is Monday – Friday, 8a – 5p
- Provide administrative support to the office as assigned
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- In-office work only during and after training, due to the administrative responsibilities of this position
- Individuals at this level normally have a High School diploma
- 1-year office experience or education equivalent
- Intermediate level knowledge of MS Office Suite, including typing and 10-key proficiency
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a CPA firm
- Working knowledge of office practices and procedures
