Specific responsibilities for this role include:

  • Troubleshoot and assist users with incoming service requests received in a variety of communication formats (email, phone, web portal).
  • Maintain and monitor system infrastructure (servers, networking equipment, etc.) to ensure availability, reliability, and security of client systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for a limited number of clients (or client locations) to ensure deep knowledge and familiarity with client environments.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of client environments, configurations, and changes.
  • Seek opportunities to improve service delivery via automation, policy and procedure updates, and documentation improvements.
  • Implement and uphold security measures to protect client data and systems, including antivirus, anti-malware, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Assist and support with the planning and implementation of a variety of IT-related systems, including PC deployment and equipment installation.
  • Work with third-party vendors to resolve issues and coordinate successful resolutions to client issues and projects.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and seek constant improvement.
  • Work closely with other team members to share knowledge and provide consistently excellent service.

Requirements

You might be a great fit for this position if you…

  • Have excellent communication and client management skills
  • Have worked in the IT industry for at least 3-5 years, ideally with experience working at an MSP or an IT Services environment.
  • Have strong technical skills and working knowledge of at least some of the following:  
    • Windows and MacOS operating systems
    • Active Directory, Group Policies, Exchange
    • Microsoft 365 and Intune
    • Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or other similar cloud-based infrastructure and application platforms
    • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare or Hyper-V
    • Networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
    • Security platforms & tools
  • Are detail-oriented and able to document your work
