Senior Cloud Engineer

RMC is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in cloud infrastructure design and implementation to support various business initiatives and workloads in a compliant and secure environment.

Duties Include:

·        Assist A&A team to develop technical documentation required for ATO submission(s)

·        Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure to support RDT&E workloads

·        Automate infrastructure leveraging Infrastructure as a Code (IaaC) to minimize overhead required to support cloud and hybrid cloud environment

·        Help develop best practices and policies for hybrid cloud environment.

·        Maintain and further develop COSMOS pilot program for ITD’s customers to have a prototyping environment

Requirements

·        Experience in cloud engineering or related technical roles, specifically within Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

·        Expertise in designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

·        Experience with cloud-native application design, deployment, and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

·        Proficiency in automation scripts using Python, Terraform, or similar technologies.

·        Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices, including compliance requirements for government environments (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP).

·        Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools to ensure performance and reliability of cloud workloads.

·        Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

·        Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude to identify and address potential issues in cloud infrastructure.

·        Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.

·        Level 3 IAT Cert (CASP+)

Security Clearance:

·        An active DoD Secret clearance or higher is required.

·        The selected applicant must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $80,000 to $120,000 annually.
