Sampling Technician

Amplify Ag Illinois is a leading agricultural research and development company specializing in soil health. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sampling Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting soil, plant tissue, and water samples for analysis. As a crucial member of our research team, you will help gather accurate and reliable data that supports our ongoing research and development efforts in the field of agriculture.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from designated locations according to established protocols and guidelines
• Ensure proper handling and labeling of samples to maintain their integrity and prevent cross-contamination
• Package and prepare samples for transportation to the laboratory, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately
• Maintain detailed records of sample collection, including location, time, and any relevant observations
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while collecting samples
• Collaborate with scientists and other team members to troubleshoot any issues related to sample collection and processing
• Assist in data entry and analysis as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a laboratory or field sampling environment preferred
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established protocols
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills, including data entry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to travel within a 250-mile radius
