What You Will Do
As a Research Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Research Supervisor, Research Administrative Manager and Research staff in executing the day-to-day activities of the research department.
The Opportunity
- Organize monthly staff meetings, prepare materials, and prompt team to update study lists.
- Ensure appropriate on-site presence to support administrative needs of Research department.
- Maintain accurate regulatory and research documents as directed, tracking CTAs, CDAs, and other documents. Verify the accuracy and validity of administrative data entered in databases; correct any errors.
- Procure supplies; prepare documents, study binders, and SOP administrative tracking and reporting; arrange study kits; and provide general organizational and follow-up support for in-house and outreach research clinics.
- Explain and obtain informed consent and document refusals for delegated studies. Perform data entry related to ATHN and other registry study protocols as directed.
- Assist with mailings, inventory management, and data entry projects as directed.
- Prepare specimens and coordinate handling, packaging, and shipping to appropriate sites as directed.
- Maintain training records relating to CITI, NIH protection of human subjects, and other continuing education requirements for physicians and research coordinators. Update CVs and medical licensure information for research staff.
- File, maintain, and archive research study documentation in internal and/or external research databases and systems as directed.
- Serve as main contact for IRB fee invoices and study-related invoices and review for accuracy in coordination with Research Administrative Manager
Requirements
- Minimum Associates degree in related field; relevant experience in research administrative support can be used in lieu of education
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- Valid Indiana Driver’s license and automobile insurance
