Registered Nurse-Urgent Care

Aspire Medical Staffing is currently seeking a compassionate and highly-skilled Registered Nurse-Urgent Care to join our team at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System. As an Urgent Care RN at Aspire Medical Staffing, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing immediate care and support to veterans with urgent healthcare needs.

LOCATION:

VA Northern Indiana Health Care System

• Marion Campus 1700 E 38th Street Marion, IN 46953

HOURS OF OPERATION:

• VA Business Hours: VA business hours/hours of operation are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays.
• Work Schedule: Shift tours and hours will vary depending on the unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Urgent Care Nursing: RN will be responsible for: patient assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, discharges, external transfers, delegating to assistive personnel, electronic medical record documentation, patient transport, and emergency response procedures. ER/Critical care experience, ability to function independently in stressful environment, knowledge of Emergency Severity Index (ESI) triage scale.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
• A current license in at least one (1) state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Experience in urgent care or emergency nursing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
