Registered Nurse-Mental Health

Aspire Medical Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse-Mental Health to join our team at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System.

LOCATION:

VA Northern Indiana Health Care System

• Marion Campus: 1700 E 38th Street, Marion, IN 46953

HOURS OF OPERATION:

• VA Business Hours: VA business hours/hours of operation are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays.
• Work Schedule: Shift tours and hours will vary depending on the unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mental Health (MH): Inpatient Mental Health Nursing: RNs assigned shall be responsible for patient assessments, medication administration interdisciplinary team coordination, admissions, discharges, internal and external transfers, electronic medical record documentation, recovery-based therapeutic programming, delegating to assistive personnel and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
• A current license in at least one (1) state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Experience in mental health nursing
