We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Specialist to join our dynamic radiopharmaceutical company. The Materials Specialist plays a crucial role in procurement, inventory management, and distribution of materials essential to our production processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, supply chain expertise, and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance within the radiopharmaceutical industry. Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring materials are in stock and reorder points are maintained to meet production schedules.
- Coordinate the receipt, inspection, and storage of materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms for materials and services, including bulk purchasing agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and proactively address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation to ensure accurate records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate the distribution of materials to various departments or production sites, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to production schedules.
- Collaborate with transportation partners to optimize shipping methods, reduce lead times, and manage transportation costs.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify material requirements for new products and design changes.
- Oversee the disposal of surplus or obsolete materials in accordance with environmental and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct periodic audits of material storage areas to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and to identify areas for efficiency improvements.
- Other job responsibilities assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain required. Experience within the pharmaceutical or radiopharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Proven experience in supplier management, negotiation, and contract administration.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and implement process improvements.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
