Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for planning, directing and performing preventive and emergency repairs on critical equipment. Maintenance Supervisor establishes written preventive maintenance procedures and tracks breakdowns to include into the maintenance control schedule. Maintenance Supervisor oversees the sanitation department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Directs and/or performs all repairs in all facility departments
- Troubleshooting and corrective maintenance of plant production equipment systems under normal and emergency conditions
- Daily, weekly, monthly, bi-annual, and annual preventive maintenance inspections; conducts safety compliance inspections and maintains records of the production equipment
- Performs and instructs personnel in equipment start-up procedures and machine operation
- Analyzes equipment failures, determines cause(s) and makes necessary adjustments or repairs
- Ensure Company facilities, including buildings and grounds, are maintained to Company standards
- Keep the facility operating efficiently with minimal downtime
- Orders, stores, and distributes supplies
- Creates and improves policies and procedures in the Maintenance Department
- Oversees the use of company tools, and equipment
- Verify that maintenance control schedule is being followed and equipment is maintained
- Work with Production and QA Laboratory to maintain on-going operation
- Provide direction and leadership to other employees and assist with training
- Make sure all plant personnel follow food safety rules and good manufacturing practices
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with Food Safety guidelines procedures, rules and regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises six employees in the Maintenance Departments. Supervise in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; setting objectives and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- Lock-Out / Tag-Out
- Forklift Certified
