NSWC Crane plays a pivotal role as the Acquisition Engineering Agent (AEA), In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), and Fleet Support Team (FST) across a wide array of defense sectors. Their responsibilities encompass acquisition, procurement, contract administration, safety, in-service logistics, supply support, configuration management, and program management, alongside engineering disciplines ranging from design to production and repairs. NSWC offers vital support to airborne, maritime, and ground-based multi-sensor systems.
The ideal candidate will:
- Integrate the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments.
- Be responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures, and systems, and providing implementation guidance.
- Prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped.
- Develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems, and equipment.
Requirements
- 15 years of experience in providing comprehensive logistics support at the Program Office level within the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition process.
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in a related field and exhibit proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel. The role demands expertise in offering full product life cycle support guidance to the business/program office, ensuring efficient and effective logistics solutions.
- Secret clearance required, TS eligible.
- Electro-Optic Infrared (EO/IR) projects required.
- (Desired) Logistics DAWIA Level 3 certified or equivalent.
- Have a background in engineering, project management, or a related field, with a keen understanding of multi-sensor systems, logistical support, and the defense sector's dynamic requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting may be required.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
