ICU Registered Nurse

Aspire Medical Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. As an ICU RN at Aspire Medical Staffing, you will have the opportunity to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, providing critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit.

HOURS:

• VA Business Hours: VA business hours/hours of operation are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays.
• Work Schedule: Shift tours and hours will vary depending on the unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The scope of care includes patient who are critically ill or whose conditions require the intensive monitoring services of ICU/Step down and are at risk of needing immediate intensive treatment.
• Treatment/procedures provided in the ICU/Step down include, but are not limited to arterial line monitoring, hemodynamic monitoring, central line monitoring, mechanical ventilation, Electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring and interpretation, gastric lavage, pulse oximetry, pacemaker monitoring, administration of vaso-active intravenous medication, thrombolytic therapy, elective cardioversion, hemodialysis, and post anesthesia recovery as needed.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Graduation from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Licensure: A current license in at least one (1) state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia.
• Certification: Current certification in BLS & ACLS by an American Health Association Vendor.
• Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.
• Must be a US Citizen
