Financial Reporting Manager

Our partner is seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations for financial reporting, supporting audit processes, and developing relationships across various business units.

Responsibilities:

• Provide information for month/quarter/year-end close process
• Prepare SEC filings for US utilities
• Liaise with external auditors during review and audit processes
• Develop and maintain procedures, metrics, and instructions for financial reporting
• Train staff on quality control reviews
• Build relationships with finance, regulatory, operations, and legal teams
• Stay updated on relevant GAAP issues
• Oversee and develop a team of financial reporting seniors
• Maintain SOX compliance for financial reporting controls
• Support evaluation of quarterly technical issues and coordination of disclosure information

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance
• 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience in public accounting or publicly traded company
• Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Strong research and project management skills
• Utility experience preferred
• CPA preferred
