IMAGINE THE FUTURE WITH ENVALIOR
As a Financial Controller at Envalior, you will independently prepare group reporting in line with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local GAAP and US tax regulations. You will actively evaluate business transactions for recognition, valuation, and reporting requirements, contributing to the integrity and reliability of our financial statements. Additionally, you'll embrace a pioneering spirit, exploring new methods to enhance our accounting processes and techniques.
You will make key contributions to Envalior:
- Lead and conduct projects such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), restructuring, system migrations, and other accounting initiatives.
- Independently prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and explanatory notes.
- Exercise independent judgment and decision-making within the scope of the role, which offers a degree of autonomy.
- Assist in the preparation of tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Act as the primary contact for group functions, business units, basic US tax matters, and external auditors.
- Prepare group reporting independently, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal guidelines. This includes the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, explanatory notes, and technical delivery of datasets on a monthly, quarterly, yearly, or project basis for both national and international legal entities.
- Support fiscal and legal restructuring initiatives, such as merging two legal entities in the US.
- Balance the requirements of stakeholders, including business units and auditors, by leveraging expert knowledge, experience, and system understanding (LXP, SEM).
- Maintain a deep understanding of cross-module process interrelationships impacting Envalior group reporting to ensure adherence to global guidelines.
- Demonstrate expertise in tax compliance and maintain direct communication with the Tax Team in Geleen.
Requirements
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Management, or Accounting.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial management, or within an auditing firm.
- Demonstrated hands-on approach with strong ownership of a wide range of financial management topics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a strong business partner mindset.
- Possess a solid understanding of the General Ledger and a strong motivation to continuously learn and improve.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven experience in ensuring legal and statutory financial reporting compliance in the US.
- Proficiency in working with SAP ERP systems and reporting tools.
- Experience in managing internal and external service providers and handling Treasury topics.
- Solid experience in legal and statutory compliance, financial reporting, and US tax compliance.
- Expertise in Change Management, including creating and organizing the US Finance Organization for a joint venture, simplifying US legal entity structures, and supporting IT landscape harmonization.
