JOB SUMMARY: Step into an exciting role in EHS with a growing manufacturing company! We're lookihg for an EHS Supervisor to drive safety and environmental initiatives at our plant in Indianapolis, IN. The EHS Supervisor will assist in the development, management, and monitoring of EHS programs, policies, and procedures that meet OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory requirements. This role will also assist the EHS Director in evaluating the organization's processes, facilities, and equipment by conducting risk assessments and Inspections to identify unsafe acts, conditions, and other opportunities and to implement safeguards and solutions.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies and eliminates/mitigates risk of workplace injuries, accidents, and health opportunities
- Conducts employee training on applicable safety and environmental topics
- Reviews EHS documentation and recommend revisions, improvements, and updates
- Conducts inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with EHS programs
- Reviews and Inspects equipment and chemicals; recommends controls
- Drafts and implements internal safety standards and policies
- Reviews incidents and damages with leadership to develop countermeasures
- Implements proactive programs and analyzes leading indicators of safety culture
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field required or minimum 4 years of experience in safety, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI and similar regulations and standards
- Experience with EHS Management Systems, conducting Risk Assessments, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and development of countermeasures using the hierarchy of controls
- ASP or CSP preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel throughout facility to conduct safety inspections
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
