Position Summary: We're seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our accounting team. This position will play a critical role in managing financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate accounting and possess a strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Statements: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring completeness and integrity.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Perform and review general ledger entries, ensuring accurate posting and proper account reconciliations.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Complete monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash balances and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Accounts Payable: Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice entry, vendor payments, account reconciliation, and weekly check runs.
  • Month-End & Year-End Closings: Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
  • Audit Support: Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and financial reports as required.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, increase efficiency, and streamline reporting.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies, real estate regulations, and relevant accounting standards.


Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in the real estate industry.
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with real estate accounting systems is a plus.
