Responsibilities
- 4 + years of verifiable experience required in Combo welding (Mig, TIG,
- 4+ years’ experience welding on 2" to 6" threaded pipe and fitting experience.
- combo welders who can pipe weld, fit their own pipe and have experience with screw pipe.
- Ability to effectively read and understand work drawing plans
- Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
- Perform precise and accurate welding and fitting on
- Welding various metals using processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW;
- Checking the fit of pipe or other structural pieces and to allow for proper attachment and to account for shrinkage;
- Welding in 2g, 4g, and 6g conditions.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure precise welding procedures.
- Utilize a variety of welding techniques and equipment, such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welders, plasma cutters, and grinders.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on completed welds and fabricated structures or equipment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project success and on-time completion.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain and repair welding and fabrication equipment as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional welding certifications or training are a plus.
- Proven experience as a COMBO Welder on threaded pipe minimum of 3 years in the field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints with precision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough quality checks on completed welds.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other team members.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Requires ability to climb and maintain balance
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
- The position may require standing, bending, reaching, lifting a majority of the work day.
- Other manual labor as required.
- Must have valid Drivers License
$32.00 hr and $150.00 per diem if living over 50 miles from shop
