Accounting Intern

S&K Building Services is actively looking for a driven Accounting Intern who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience. To be a strong candidate for our Accounting Internship, you should possess an understanding of accounting and financial principles, a positive attitude, and willingness to pe a part of a fast-paced environment. We are searching for candidates that are collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn.

What You'll Do

• Assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
• Assist in preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations and other general ledger account reconciliations for monthly close process
• Assist in preparation of financial reports
• Work with accounting software
• Learn how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients
• Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations

Who You Are

• You have a high school diploma or state accepted equivalency
• You are pursing a degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• You are currently a junior or senior in college with an expected graduation date in 2024 – 2026
• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have excellent IT and computer skills
• You have basic accounting skills
• You have knowledge of or experience with system integration
• You have knowledge of or experience with data cleanup
• You have the ability to execute multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet deadlines
• You are energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
• You adhere to high ethical standard
• You work well in a team environment
• You are professional with interpersonal and communication skills
• You reside in Indianapolis, Indiana with the ability to work in-office
