Full Job Description

Position Summary: 

Reporting to the University Registrar, the Registrar Office Assistant works in concert with the Registrar’s office staff to provide support for all assigned activities related to student records and registration.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate Registrar office coordination, including front line assistance in student in-person support, organization of the Registrar/Record inbox emails, and managing Registrar Office phone calls.
  2. Facilitate and assist with digitization process of all current paper processes and student files.
  3. Facilitates the processing of requested transcripts by students, staff, and alumni.
  4. Facilitates the processing of enrollment/degree verifications by students, alumni, and outside parties.
  5. Facilitate the student registration process and assist with requested scheduling changes.
  6. Assist with diploma re-order requests to keep accurate financial records.
  7. Assist with planning, organizing and executing Fall and Spring Senior Checkout events, in collaboration with other departments.
  8. Assist with planning, organizing and executing Winter and Spring Commencement Convocations, in collaboration with other departments.
  9. Cross-train on all responsibilities with Registrar Office Assistant.
  10. Other duties as assigned by the University Registrar.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least two (2) years' work experience in higher education.
  • Registrar's Office work experience is strongly preferred.
  • Detailed with strong organizational skills and numerical aptitude.
  • Strong customer service orientation and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to coordinate overlapping tasks and handle periods of pressure and stress
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, administrators, faculty, staff members, and outside constituencies.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and databases needed. Advanced Excel, MS Forms, Outlook mail merge skills preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Personal commitment to North Park’s mission of Christian higher education.
  • Ability to traverse stairs; ability to carry boxes.
