Billing Coordinator

Reports to:  Billing Manager

Function:

Coordination of the billing process, from beginning to end, for a portion of the firm’s Billing Attorneys and their clients.

Major Responsibilities:

·                Works closely with the Billing Manager, the Billing Attorneys and their Practice Assistants.

·                Utilizes SurePoint, our time and billing software, to perform processes associated with creating, editing, finalizing and submitting a bill for services and related costs to clients. 

·                Work product includes producing transmittal letters and related reports, metrics or similar analysis, as well as adherence to established guidelines and billing requirements.  Also includes the accurate transmission of billing information in various forms (paper, electronic).

·                Serves as a back-up for the conflicts clearance process.

·                Other tasks as directed.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of two years of billing experience.  Legal Billing experience a plus.  SurePoint experience a plus.  E-billing experience a plus. 
  
  
• Must be a strong team player and have an exceptional service perspective.
  
  
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to prepare ad hoc reports and requests as needed.
