Software Developer I

As a Software Developer I at Advanced Health Services, you will work with a team that designs, develops, and implements technology solutions to meet current and future business needs for our clients. Working within .NET/SQL Server technology stack, and in a collaborative, agile environment, the Software Developer will maintain and enhance a mature ERP system that drives nearly all internal business processes for our clients. Additionally, the team maintains external web-based solutions that allow our clients to offer an exceptional user experience in the market. You'll be successful in this role if you are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and can communicate well with all levels of internal and external customers.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with Developers and Business Subject Matter Experts to design software solutions that increase efficiencies, enhance productivity, and help our customers achieve their business goals
• Collaborate with the Service Delivery team on executing Agile processes and methodologies.
• Participate in the requirements gathering process on assigned work items.
• Serve as a technical team resource on complex projects.
• Support and enhance our clients’ business-critical applications.
• Continuously improve processes and standards and collaboration with team members to ensure team cohesiveness and high-quality output.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, values, code of ethics, and compliance/security standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or comparable work experience.
• Minimum of three years .NET development experience in a business setting.
• Minimum of three years hands-on experience with SQL Server development.
• Strong working knowledge of:
• Object-oriented design and programming concepts
• Database design and programming concepts
• Source control fundamentals, preferably using SVN and/or Git
• Experience with the following additional technologies preferred:
• .NET Architecture and Syntax (C# and VB.net)
• SQL Server database design and development
• CSS, HTML and Responsive Design Methodologies
• Current web-based development technologies, including progressive web applications, JavaScript frameworks and Web APIs
• JavaScript, TypeScript
• jQuery
• Crystal Reports and/or SSRS
• Azure DevOps
• Experience in the healthcare or health insurance industry, including knowledge of HIPAA regulations, is helpful
• Ability to work either independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing with all levels of internal and external customers.
