Full Job Description
**Please note that this position is fully on-site, with all work conducted in the office. This role is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.**
As a valued member of the payroll team, the Payroll Associate will be responsible for accurately preparing and processing weekly payrolls for both union and non-union associates. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to proficient data entry for onboarding union personnel and providing support to associates regarding payroll and tax-related inquiries and concerns.
Essential Job Duties
- Accurately enter timecards into the payroll system on a daily/weekly basis in partnership with Team Leaders
- Set up union new hire profiles in the payroll system and complete the E-Verify process through Equifax
- Process payroll change notices as needed
- Travel and process on-site payroll and new hires at event locations when applicable
- Communicate with labor unions to obtain necessary paperwork and resolve pay discrepancies
- Research union and non-union payroll disputes
- Print and distribute pay statements in-house and ship them nationwide
- Process weekly child supports, garnishments, and levies as received
- Correspond with payroll tax preparer regarding tax notices as received
- Prepare and process PNC positive pay on a weekly basis
- Process 401(k) and 401(k) loan deductions as needed
- Complete required monthly and quarterly compliance reporting
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements

- Ability to perform as a responsible ESOP owner making daily decisions to benefit the client and the company

- At least 2+ years of experience processing non-union payrolls
- Previous experience processing union payrolls preferred
- Keen attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and experience in automatic payroll systems
- High school diploma or equivalent; FPC certification a plus
