Job Title: Director Accounting

Location: Onsite - Atlanta Office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Reviewing and analyzing financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Leading the budgeting process, including the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitoring and analyzing budget variances and making recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining effective internal control systems to safeguard the company’s assets.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulations.
  • Coordinating and managing internal and external audits.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, such as tax filings and financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
  • Managing and mentoring the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Overseeing cash flow management, including cash forecasts, liquidity analysis, and investment strategies.
  • Managing relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborating with other departments to align financial planning with business objectives.
  • Identifying financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensuring proper insurance coverage and managing risk-related policies.
  • Managing tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns.
  • Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of financial software and systems.
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data through proper system controls.
  • Communicating financial performance and insights to stakeholders, including the board of directors, investors, and regulators.
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports and analyses to senior management.
  • Providing finance updates and participate in financial reviews with the team in China

Requirements

  • Fluent in both Chinese and English
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certificate holder.
  • Proven experience leading finance team with at least 10-12 years in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Experience in Pharma/Medical equipment/Biotechnology industry
