Strategic Sales Consultant - Inside Sales

Industry: Importing, distribution, and sales

Location: Headquarters in Tallahassee, FL

Schedule: Generally 9:00am - 6:00pm Eastern Time, with some flexibility

Compensation: Annual salary commensurate with experience +performance linked incentives + a full benefit package (see below for details)

Summary of Qualifications:

      • Minimum 3 years of demonstrable success in consultative inside sales 
      • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred) 
      • Proven history of meeting or surpassing sales targets 
      • Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) 
      • Superior communication, negotiation, and problem-resolution skills 
      • Demonstrated ability to excel in a high-velocity, performance-driven environment

About the position: The Strategic Sales Consultant is a critical role within our revenue generation team, tasked with accelerating business growth through consultative client engagement and solution-oriented sales strategies. This position demands a results-driven professional, capable of identifying and maximizing sales opportunities while fostering enduring client partnerships. This role presents significant advancement opportunities for high-achieving professionals dedicated to driving business growth through strategic sales approaches and unparalleled client service.

Essential Tasks of the Strategic Sales Consultant:

  • Client Portfolio Management 
    • Develop and maintain a robust client portfolio through strategic engagement and value proposition delivery. 
    • Implement targeted outreach campaigns to promote new products and promotional offerings. 
    • Execute comprehensive needs analyses to align our product suite with client objectives. 
    • Establish and maintain detailed client and showroom profiles for enhanced personalization. 
  • Sales Cycle Optimization 
    • Oversee end-to-end sales processes from lead generation through deal closure. 
    • Utilize in-depth product knowledge to guide clients in making informed lighting selection decisions. 
    • Apply technical expertise in preparing accurate and competitive job order quotations. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration 
    • Synergize with marketing and product development teams to ensure sales strategies align with corporate goals. 
    • Contribute market intelligence to drive product innovation and refine marketing strategies. 
  • Performance Metrics and Analytics 
    • Consistently achieve or exceed established KPIs for daily, weekly, and monthly call volumes. 
    • Produce comprehensive sales reports and forecasts for executive review. 
    • Conduct analysis of customer feedback and market trends to identify growth opportunities and areas for operational enhancement. 

Requirements

This job might be for you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field/experience. 
  • Previous experience in sales
  • Proven track record of driving sales and achieving targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Demonstrate initiative, are conscientious, and provide complete follow-through on areas of responsibility
  • Are self-motivated and have a strong work ethic
  • Have the ability to build excellent working relationships internally and externally to achieve goals
  • Can successfully pass a background check and drug screening
