Manager Emergency Services RN

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the 24 hour, seven day a week functions of a clinical nursing unit(s).

What you will do in this role:

• Administers, plans and evaluates the activities of the department(s) to ensure quality patient care.
• Develops goals, policies and procedures, prepares and submits operating and capital budgets, participates in multidisciplinary QI teams, consults with staff, physicians and other departments as needed.
• Manages staffing patterns with the assistance of Assistant Nurse Managers and the House Supervisors on a shift-to-shift basis. Follows policies and procedures. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to facility standards of behavior

Requirements

• Florida RN licensure required
• Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 3+ years of RECENT ACUTE CARE hospital experience in the ER, and at least 2+ years of RECENT leadership experience in the ER. Ideally Assistant Nurse Manager/Manager candidates. * NEEDS EXPERIENCE WORKING IN FAST-PASED ER ACUTE CARE SETTING  * Would like to see leadership longevity. 
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
