Library Associate

Library Systems & Services is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Library Associate to join our team. As a Library Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent library services and assisting patrons in accessing and utilizing library resources. Responsibilities:

• Assist patrons with locating and checking out library materials
• Answer reference questions and provide research assistance
• Help patrons access and navigate library databases and online resources
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive library experience for patrons
• Assist with library programs and events, such as storytimes and workshops
• Process new library materials, including cataloging and shelving
• Maintain library inventory and ensure materials are organized and accessible
• Stay up-to-date with library policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Experience working in a library or customer service setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with library systems and online resources
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Passionate about providing quality library services
