Full Job Description
Our grapple truck drivers pick-up and haul away tree debris from land clearing and tree smaller removal sites including residential and commercial locations. Hours are generally 7am to 5pm. Drive a manual or automatic CDL class vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
Requirements
Daily Requirements
- Drive to pick-up locations and prepare for pick-up; maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Load tree debris into the truck using a knuckle boom loader, ensuring the debris is secure and safe for transport.
- Transport raw materials from job sites to tree dump yards
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues in accordance with the general maintenance guidelines and perform preventative maintenance including basic self repair
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
- Communicate well with customers including coordinating pick-up locations
- Diligently use Kenzie apps and software
Qualifications
- Must possess a Class B CDL license
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have graduated from a certified truck driving school, display adequate working knowledge of a tractor trailer during a road test or have two years of verifiable tractor trailer experience
- No more than three moving violations in 3 years.
- No more than two accidents in 3 years.
- No more than a total combination of 3 moving violations or accidents in the last 3 years
- No DUI/DWIs
- If applicant has one of the following violations and no other violations, the application will be forwarded to the safety director for review:
- Excessive speeding (More than 15 mph over posted speed limit)
- Reckless Driving
- Improper or erratic lane change
- Following too closely
- Any felonies or criminal convictions within the last 10 years will be reviewed
Home Time, Route & Schedule
- Home Daily
- Route: Local, within St. Augustine and Jacksonville, FL
- Schedule: 5 days per week, average around 45-50 hours per week
- M-F, occasional Saturday when needed
